Addis
Ababa University on Saturday graduated 8,817 students in different
fields of study with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
The
University graduated 6,122 entrants with bachelor’s degree, 2,593 with
master’s degree and 102 with doctorate degree. 2,224 of the graduates
were female.
Speaking
at the graduation ceremony held at the Millennium Hall, House of
Federation Speaker and guest of honor, Kassa Tekleberhan said the
contribution of the graduates is crucial in speeding up the nation’s
overall transformation.
He called on the graduates to discharge their duties diligently thereby contributing share to Ethiopia’s renaissance.The University graduated over 230 thousand students over the past 63 years. Currently, it is training more than 51 thousand students in different fields of study.
